Randall Munroe Doesn’t Like Grapefruit
After I read today’s xkcd comic, I popped it in the GIMP and moved things around a bit, plotting to send over an email with my thoughts on fruit, and then the xkcd blog was updated:
Holy crap. This strip’s been up for 800 seconds and it’s already the most controversial thing I’ve ever written, beating out comics about cunnilingus, the Obama endorsement, and my making 4chan tiny on the map of the internet. It turns out everyone and their mother has a fruit opinion, and every one of those opinions is now in my inbox.
Oh. Well, I’m not letting my cut-and-paste skillz go to waste: my thoughts on fruit.
Watermelon is delicious. Red apples are far better than green apples: juicy > bitter. Tomatoes aren’t even a bloody fruit.
Oh, whatever. I’m emailing him.

indeed i must add my oppion that the bannana is the ultermate fruit. its tasty and is the only fruit to have develpoped the abilty to easily self peal ^_^

I think the only fruit I agreed with on the entire graph was the pineapple*; I don’t mind the stuff, really, but the necessity to take antihistamines following consumption in order to stay alive somewhat negates the experience for me.
* and grapefruit, to an extent, though I did move it further down and left.
Actually, did you know that strawberry isn’t a fruit? Only the seeds are.

Tomatoes are a fruit, but I am pretty sure bananas are not and I am a bit suspicious of pineapples as neither have seeds in them.
